Homemade Facials & Scrubs

Today I was surfing around online, and thought about something I haven't really thought about or done since I was a little girl in my grandmothers kitchen. Homemade facials!! I decided to jump onto google and look up a couple good recipes.

I managed to find a pretty cool site called Witty Living. You can check them out here.

Here are four recipes I am going to try out. They all are quick and easy, as well as all involved items you already have at home.

Four recipes are listed below...

Egg Yolk & Honey Facial Mask
-          1 Egg Yolk
-          1 Teaspoon of Honey
-          1 Teaspoon of Whole Milk or Cream

Blend together and apply to face. Let sit it sit on your face for 20 minutes, and then wash off with warm water. Pat face dry.

Brown Sugar & Milk Facial Mask
-          ¼ Cup of Brown Sugar
-          1-2 tbsp of Milk (Anything but skim)

Blend together. Scrub into face for good minute, then leave on for 15 minutes. Wash away with warm water and pat dry.

Egg Whites & Lemon Facial Mask
-          2 Egg Whites
-          -1 Teaspoon of Lemon Juice

Beat together in bowl until they are fluffy. Apply to your face and wait 10-20 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

Banana & Sugar Facial Scrub
-          1 Banana
-          ¼ Sugar
-          ¼ Brown Sugar

Mash & blend all together in a bowl. Apply to face. Rub in for 1-2 minutes. Then leave on your face for 10-15 minutes. Wash away with warm water and pat dry.

This is an awesome project to do with your little sister, or young daughter, or something to do for yourself during a quiet night at home. Get creative and have fun!!
