Its alive!!!

Hey guys,

So I am here to say sorry for being such a slacker reccently. I have been pretty busy and to be honest, tired. I have also been trying out a lot of samples reccently, so my looks haven't been that crazy indepth. I do have more looks coming, as well as some nails swatches on the way.

This morning I got up and began to write my entry for my Today's Look blog. I then went to start loading the pictures from my camera to my computer and realized I had forgotten my cord at home. Sadly this blog will be delay again for today, as I have to work tonight. Either way it will be up and ready soon.

I promise more looks to be coming very soon. Remember to keep spreading the world about War Paint, I would still love to start doing some contests, or give-a-ways.

Nails... Purple Hearts, Short & Dark

A couple days ago I came up with a quick and easy nail look anyone can do. :)

I started by applying a base coast to my nails. Any clear, or strengthening nail polish will do. Make sure to let all layer dry between coats. This way there is less chance of your nails smudging or getting messed up. Next I applied Flying Dragon (Neon) by China Glaze to my nails. I applied 2 coats to make sure I had a solid color.

I really love Flying Dragon because its a purple polish with these awesome blue sparkles. It also very quickly, as well as matte. So that means if you had a matte top coat, this color be applied with a shine, or as a flat matte. I plan on trying that very soon.

Once the two coats died I then applied my heart sticks. I got mine from Sally's Beauty Supply. There come in a packet on a tiny sheet of sticker paper. The heart stickers come in a couple colors. I used gold, pink, purple, and red. The last step was to apply a couple top coats to seal everything in. I like to use a really glossy top coat for that extra shine. For my base and top coat I like to use OPI's Nail Envy.

 

This is a super easy, no skill needed look. Just the way I like it. ;) You can also switch out the color for anything you want. It also looks great on short or long nails.

Todays Look...Green Sheen

Today's I went for a more springy green look. I used a couple different products on my eyes today. I just kind of started and kept building and building. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I love the bright green fading off into the yellow.

Dark Heart Design Samples

About a week and bit ago I received a lovely package in the mail from Tina from Dark Heart Designs. It was a whole bunch of samples I had ordered. I got myself a sample of every color they had. That's over 40 different colors!! Unfortunately I wasn't able to review every color. I intend on trying every color, and may end up reviewing them all, however to do a decent review and in a decent amount of time, I just couldn't do it. :(

 

 

Either way, I have many good things to say about these amazing colors and more needed information below. You can also check out more pictures of the aray of looks I have created.

LÓreal Youth Code: Day/Night Cream

Today while hunting around Shopper Drug Mart I found that they were now carrying LÓreal's Youth Code. Today I finally managed to pick up the Day/Night Cream. I was quiet sad I didn't have this product as a part of my skin care routine. Tonight will be the first time I am using it.

In the past month or so I have been doing a lot of E.L.F hauling. They have had some really awesome deals recently, and of course mixed with there great prices and quality makeup, I had to indulge.

I have been haulin ass and have tons to share!!

E.L.F is a brand that I heard about through the grape vine. I was reading more and more about there products everyday. When I finally checked them out I was floored by the awesome prices, of course expecting something a little more pricey. If you are new to makeup Eyes, Lips, & Face is a great brand to start with. They have everything you need from eye color, to foundation. Primers, to glosses. Through out my shopping I managed to pick up a little bit of everything. From nail polish to eye pigments.

Today's Look... Neutral Blues.

This is the look I created using a sample I received from Sephora a loooong time ago. The color palette I had to use were golden brows and greeny blues.

Sephora Sample: Neutral Blues

With a purchase I had made quite a while ago, as most stores do I got a couple samples on my way out. One of which was a quick palette of four Sephora High Intensity shadows. The packaging boasts about it vibrant color and long lasting quality.

 

I will be doing a brief review of the colors, as well as posting a look I created using all four colors.

Due to time restrictions, work, and the fact Ive just been tired. I am posting a slightly belated Valentines Day look. The upside to this is I have managed to come up with two different looks. :)

First let me please say I hope everyone had a great Valentines day no matter how you choose to spend it. Personally I didn't do much this year. I just spent the day with the one I love for as long as I can. Had some champagne when I got home from work, and that's it. I try not to buy into the commercial aspect of it. You should love everyday.

Today's Look... Rainbow Brite

Today's look is one of my favorite looks in the whole world. I have recently had many people ask me to do this look, (one person in particular... ;), and actually really miss it. There was a while there I was doing it all the time so I stopped and just haven't had the time recently.

Today I rocked my Rainbow-Brite look!!! It's a Sugar Pill rainbow!! I love this look because its fairly simple, and uses so many colors so you know your going to have bright colorful eyes. Plus it's always a impresser. :)

Today's Look... Wonder Woman

Today's look is all about the red, blue, and yellow. Wonder Woman is the theme today. As everyone knows Mac launched there Wonder Woman line not too long ago. On Wednesday I FINALLY received my package in the mail. Ive been playing with it since.

The first look I created using some of my new colors had to, of course, be a Wonder Woman theme.

MAC's Wonder Woman Review!

Today was a very EXCITING day because today I received the Mac Wonder Woman products I had ordered. :D I must say I was impressed and quiet happy with everything. I was really excited to do this blog so I had taken pictures and swatches right away. (lol)

Scaredy Cat Update: Dysphoria & Insomnia

Today has been a busy makeup day for me and I thought I would finish it all off with using my last two Scaredy Cat Samples. These ones are called Dysphoria and Insomnia. Dysphoria is a pretty blue, while Insomnia is a shade of pink.

Funky Rainbow Hair... Zing!

Ladies and Gentlemen, today I got my hair done! (Thank god!!) My wick amazing sister Amanda was kind enough to take me for the day and do my hair. I can’t thank her enough for all the hard work and time she has spent over the years on my hair. Thank you for letting me be your doll! J

I don’t know how it happened but magic did. My hair is so bomb… if I do say so myself. I’m not trying to sound cocky; I was just really looking forward to it and LOVE the results!

Tonight I was able to sneak in a quick nail fix. My sister came over this evening to hangout for a bit. I got the sudden urge to paint some nails and managed to talk her into it. J

Scaredy Cat Samples!!

I was searching around on Etsy a couple of weeks ago for a new makeup brand. Something not so new, but with some real color, maybe something unique. I searched around and found a brand call Scaredy Cat. Right away I saw there wide variety of colors, and pretty the all looked. Plus the packaging which had a edgy feel and was quiet unique. It defiantly caught my eye. :)

LÓreal Youth Code Update... Pt. 2

About a week ago I had posted a blog about LÓreal's Youth Code. All the boxes gave you expected results in a certain amount of time. I promissed I would update and here I am! :)

So it's been 7 days since I began using LÓreal's Youth Code and I shall say I'm lovin it...well most of what I have. :) I was really excited about everything I had. I had been looking forward to using Youth Code since I found out it was coming out.

Today's Look... Pixie & Berry

Yesterday I had posted a review of a couple products I had gotten from Avon. I received a mineral eyeshadow called Pixie Dust and a lipstick called Pink Berry.

Avon: Mineral Eye Shadow & Lip Stick

My boyfriend's mom shares the same love for makeup as I do. She is a Avon rep and always manages to get me all my Avon goodies. :) I'm lucky I guess. :)

For Christmas she had bought me a lipstick that only works off and on. (lol) I say this because sometimes the lipstick wants to twist out of the tube and sometimes it doesn't. So Angie was nice enough to order me another one. Recently she had also heard I was looking at a mineral color in this months catalogue, which I got as well.

The mineral eyeshadow is named Pixie Dust and the lipstick is Pink Berry.
