Nails... Decked Out Turquoise

If you know me, you definitely know that I can not go long with a regular manicure. I love having each nail with a different design or style of nail polish. This is my most recent creation. My base color was China Glaze Turn't Up Turquoise.

For this nail art I used... (In order of thumb to pinky finger)
China Glaze (Turn't Up Turquoise)
Sally Hanson's Sugar Coat (Lick-O-Rich)
China Glaze (Full Spectrum)
Hard Candy (Golden Sparkles)
Sally Hanson's Hard As Nails (Black Heart)
Sally Hanson's Xtreme Wear (Mint Sorbet)
Clear Gems
Revlon's Moon Candy (Meteor)
Wet & Wild's Wild Shine (Top Coat)

This is a simple mani in China Glaze's Turnt Up Turquoise.
This shade is satin with a beautiful sparkle shimmer. This shade is gorgeous.

Nails... China Glaze Aquadelic

Today I got my nails painted in one of China Glaze's beautiful light blue shades, Aquadelic.

Aquadelic was included in the Electro Pop collection from Spring 2012. The Electro Pop collection included other bright colors like pink, green, & purple as well as other shades of blue.

When getting my nails done I usually get a basic paint job, no designs. I rock that for a couple of days and then add my own design.

My nails will soon be leopard print.

More pictures to come soon.

China Glaze New Bohemian Collection Fall 2012

Say the word “Bohemian” and most people automatically think bell-bottoms and fringed vests.  Today’s Bohemian look is refined, feminine and carefree, epitomized by fashion icon Nicole Richie’s modern Bohemian look.  China Glaze® gives the free-spirited look a fresh, trendy spin with its latest speciality collection, New Bohemian.

China Glaze® New Bohemian will leave you mesmerized as the color shifts and moves across the nail, traveling with the light.  The chrome-like finish radiates with high shine and intense color, captivating your senses with every twist and turn.

China Glaze will be launching a new collection called Bohemian for Fall of 2012. Unlike other China Glaze collections these polishes are all duo-chrome, and every polish is different from the next.

China Glaze's Aquadelic & OPI Navy Shatter

As mentioned in my China Glaze's Aquadelic Nails post I have now applied OPI's Navy Shatter on top.

At first I wasn't too sure if I liked the combination because I really liked the bright blue of the Aquadelic, and the Navy Shatter really darkened my nails. However now I have changed my mind, and really like how they look.

It's kind of weird but I actually like shattered nails better once it has been worn for a couple days and had faded around the edges a little.

Here are some pictures of my nails...

Shatter or Crackle is a quick & easy way to give your nails a funky look. I personally find darker shatter's to look better on brighter, lighter colors. Neon shades would work really well too.

China Glaze's Aquadelic Nails

Today was finally the day I went to get my nails filled. I had waited 2 weeks so you can imagine how grown out they were. :/

I always love trying new colors, especially blues. I think it's because I hate working with blues in my makeup, so I just wear it on my nails.

This weeks polish is called Aquadelic. It is made by China Glaze. This shade was included in the Electropop Spring 2012 collection.

I personally love the color. It is very bright & blue. It applies very well, even on the first coat. I love a shade that basically jumps off your nails. This color is a perfect example of that. Dry time is the same as any other China Glaze polish.

I look forward to trying my dark blue shatter polish on top of this shade. I think dark crackles or shatters look best on a light/bright background.

Here is a couple pictures of my nails. I will post more one I apply the Blue shatter.

Next I hope to post my review for a couple shades from the new Spider Man Collection, as well as a couple colors from the new Minnie Mouse Collection.

Nails... China Glaze's Iguana Blue

This weeks nail color of choice was a blue. I find I have all these ideas about colors during the week for my nails and once I go to do them, I draw a blank??

My color today is by China Glaze and it is called Iguana Blue. It is a beautiful bright blue with tiny blue sparkles. Its a shade I would call a honest and true blue. Iguana Blue is from the Island Escape (2011) collection.

Both of my pinky fingers have Black Mesh Crackle (also by China Glaze) on top of the Iguana Blue. I didn't really like the way it had turned out so I chose to do only the two fingers. (I find the trick with crackle is to make sure you use a really bright color underneath. I like to use neon's. The crackle will tone down the color.)

Here is what it looks like...

Just simple blue nails. I really like this shade of blue on its own, but will probably jazz them up more later this week.

Nails... China Glaze's Shocking Pink (Neon)

Today I got my nails chopped off! On purpose of course. With the fall season arriving comes Halloween, and Halloween to me means crazy fun, and lots of it. :) (I'm kinda bummed out cuz I'm pretty sure I'm going to be working Halloween itself, and missing all the cool costumes the kids wear.) It also means to me, contact lenses. That means I need shorter nails to get back into the swing of things. (Plus I just started bowling again, and am entering my first makeup course soon.)

Regardless this is what my nails look like painted in Shocking Pink (Neon).

As said previously I know fall is upon us, however I still feel like there is still time (always time) to rock out some bright colors. I haven't worn pink polish in a while because I thought I was over pinking everything. lol. Either way, one more neon, before the summer trend is over!

Love this color, awesome fun. Super bright, so not for those looking for natural tones. Glows under black lite!

China Glaze Halloween Haunting Collection 2011

As most have already been talking about, and in well anticipation of China Glaze is releasing a 2011 Halloween Collection called Haunting.

I, personally am very excited to get my hands on these polishes. They look like a lot of fun, and seem to create awesome color combos. These polishes look pretty fly.

Included in the Halloween Haunting Collection are as follows...

Haunting: Black with Silver glitter
Crimson: Deep Purple with a hint of Blood Red
Near Dark: Rich mossy Green
It’s Alive: Bright Green glitter
Ghoulish Glow: Glow-in-the-Dark
Black Mesh: Crackle Glaze top coat

Once I manage to actually try out all of these colors I will post a review. Halloween is my favorite time of the year. Glow in the dark nail polish just screams its arrived!!

Nails...China Glaze's Passion

Today my lovely lady at Mimi Nails in Caledon squeezed in me. Thank god. :) <3

I felt like trying something a little different then what I have been wearing lately, so I decided it was about time to rock some gold again. This is a gold polish I have never tried before, I think I've fallen in love. It's called Passion, by China Glaze. This color was included in China Glaze's Romantique Collection (2008).

(For some reason, my camera really hated my nails today, and didn't want to take a proper picture of them. :/ I do apologize, sometimes it had a life of it's own.)

This shade is very metallic, and almost dries matte. It continues to look matte even with a topcoat. Don't be fooled by it's natural looking shade in the bottle, it is very shiny and different.

As much as I am loving this shade I'm sure I will be applying a coat of 5 Golden Rings (a sparkly gold from China Glaze.)

Hope this inspires you!

Nails... China Glaze's Towel Boy Toy

Yesterday I went for my bi-weekly mani. Before leaving I asked my families opinions on what color I should get this week. Almost everyone had come up with the answer blue. Once I had arrived I picked out a shade of blue and sat down.

This perfect summer blue is called Towel Boy Toy. It starts off very sheer and transparent, but with two or three coats you get that clear water blue shade your looking for. We topped it off with a clear coat and I was finished.

I went quite plain this week, just wanting a simple color, however I'm sure I will add some kind of design to my nails through out the course of the week. :)

Towel Boy Toy was featured in China Glazes Pool Side Collection. The rest of the colors from this collection are just as bright and vibrant. A lot of fun for bright summer days like this. Enjoy!

Nails... Do You Lilac It /w Latticed Lilac Crackle

As promised I said I would update my nail look for the week when I decided to try my beautiful Latticed Lilac on top of it. I decided to only put the crackle on my ring fingers. My reasoning? I didn't want to over do it, and completely loose my pastel lilac color.

Here's what they look like...

Still super lovin this pretty purple. I love the crackles, but find that they sometimes over power the shade underneath, especially if the crack has some kind of sparkle or metallic.

Super kawaii. ;P

Nails... OPI's Do you Lilac it?

Today I got my nails done, and fell in love with a new color. It’s by O.P.I and called Do You Lilac It? Too cute!

This is only a quick post so I really didn’t take too many pictures. (I hit my nails on the way home anyways… Fail.)

After I rock these nails just the way they are, I am going to try my lilac-purple China Glaze Metals Crackle on them. I think it’s going to look really sharp with the petty light purple underneath. Can’t wait to share!!

China Glaze Metal Crackle Review

Today is finally the day I am posting my Metal Crackle review. Feels like its been forever simply because Ive known forever these colors were coming.

This summer (2011) China Glaze has introduced a new line of Metal Crackles. They deliver a beautiful pastel pale, metallic color, that for the most part dries matte.

I was super excited about the Metal Crackle for simple fact I love the colors, and like the sparkly/shiny metallic look, plus the additional hype of a new crackle.

Nails... The Pink Ladies (Purple Panic -Neon)

Here's my mani of the week. I decided I had enough of the sparkles, (for now) and wanted to go with a solid bright color, and then design on my ring finger. Of course being me, and lovin that sparkle, I had to add gems to my ring finger, as well as pinky's.

For my main pink color I used China Glaze's Purple Panic (Neon). The designed was created using a black, white, and silver sparkle stripe nail polish. Then I added the gem with clear nail polish. You can find the gems at any local beauty or craft store.

Almost Friday!!

Nails... Poof! Fairy Dust.

I love switching up my nail polish, and trying different looks using bright, usually neon colors. However recently I have been really into a simple sparkling look. I called this look Poof! Fairy Dust, because I believe this is what fairy power would shine like, but mostly because it's the name of the polish. (lol)

I have been using sparkle polishes on my nails, finishing it with a top coat. I think its a dazzling look, but not too over the top. You can choose any color, to match whatever you choose. I personally like sparkles that are multi-colored. Here are the nails I am rockin this week...

I used China Glaze's Fairy Dust, one of my favorite clear rainbow sparkles. These nails look amazing in the sun. Sadly I couldn't sneak a pic because it was a cloudy day. :(

Hopefully Poof! Fairy Dust inspires you to switch it up and try something new. :)

Coming soon! China Glaze Crackle... Metals

Set your summer style to “sizzle” with China Glaze’s new Crackle Glaze Metals collection. The pioneer in crackle technology, China Glaze takes the beauty phenomenon to the next level with this second-generation polish that pairs the edgy innovation of crackle with the elegant beauty of metals.

I am soooo excited for this collection. So far thought out the whole Crackle/Shatter phase, I have really only grabbed 2 polishes. One is China Glaze Crackle, and the other is a OPI Shatter. One of the reasons I haven't gotten myself more is for the simple fact that at first they were hard to get a hold of. They were sold out everywhere, and one of the most popular trends for nails in a long time.
