Today's Look... Spring Fling

Finally!! Spring is upon us (or should be). I am OVER the Winter.

To celebrate I wanted to do a shimmery fun spring time look. I wanted to keep the theme of spring so I went with mostly blue and green shadows on the eyes, and then grounded the look with a more natural berry tone lipstick that had a slight shimmer as well.

Today's Look... Valentines

This was the make up I wore on Valentines day this year. Yes, a little late on the holiday but a look for almost any day of the year none-the-less.

I choose a soft but smokey purple for my lid and blended out into a darker purple at the outer comers of my eye. I choose to use a white liner on my water line instead of black because white will open the eye more, making your eyes in turn look larger & brighter. I choose to stay very pale and neutral with the lips to contrast from my eyes.

Today's Look... Neon Rainbow

In celebration of Pride this past weekend I rocked neon rainbow eyes. I have done several variations of this look. This one being the most simple, and probably my favourite.

Today's Look.. Shimmering Green

This was a quick look I did on a recent day off. Wanted to see if I could get a slight smokey eye without all the effort of blending out dark green or black. Something quick and simple.

I decided to apply Nyx Jumbo pencil in Slate all over my lid. I blended it out with my finger and then applied my Green Sleek Make Up shades on top.

This gave me the slightly smokey effect I was looking for and saved time. Plus it helped make my shadow stick and last. (I still applied my Urban Decay Primer Potion first anyway. Always do.)

Today's Look... Snap Shots

Today's look was inspired and created by using Sleek Makeup's Snapshot's palette. My lips were colored with Sleek Makeup's Pout Paint. I will have a review for the Snapshots palette as well as the Paint Pouts follow this.

This look is a very simple, and easy to do. I basically took a family of colors, in this case being blue & green, and blended them to fade into each other. The shimmer in the shadows I used help blend the colors into each other.

Innocence Mineral Cosmetics Loose Shadows Review

A couple days ago I was killing sometime walking around a local plaza when I found that they had a Trade Secrets. I went in to check out any new OPI collections, when I spotted a wall of mineral eyeshadows. I have never heard of this brand before but really liked the shimmery colors I saw. Why not try something new?

The brand is called Innocence Mineral Cosmetics. I choose 3 out of the dozens of colors to review.
The 3 shades I have chosen are  Phantom Shimmer, Orchids 'n Diamonds, & Bubble Gum.

Today's Look... Pink Lemonade

Today's look really wasn't inspired from anything specific. I haven't used any pink shades or many yellows on my eyes recently, and I think they are a great color combo that should be experimented with more often. I would say I was inspired by other peoples creative looks. I love the bright colors & creative designs I have seen recently.

Today's Look... Rainbow Brite

Last weekend Toronto had their annual Pride Parade supporting the rights of people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, & transgender. It is a weekend of celebrating everyone's individuality. In the spirit of showing pride & support I decided to go all out with a rainbow eye look.

Today's Look... Mi Vida Loca

Today's look was based off of Kat Von D's Spring 2012 palette; Mi Vida Loca.

This palette is filled with the shades that fill the rainbow. They blend beautifully together to create a colorful, but soft look.

Here is what I managed to come up with...

At IMATS as mentioned in my 'IMATS Toronto Experience' blog, there was a huge Nyx section. I was in dyer need of more Jumbo Eye Pencils so that is where I headed first. While checking them out, I spotted their Studio/ Crystal Liquid Liners, which once I saw them knew I should try.
