Nails... Decked Out Turquoise

If you know me, you definitely know that I can not go long with a regular manicure. I love having each nail with a different design or style of nail polish. This is my most recent creation. My base color was China Glaze Turn't Up Turquoise.

For this nail art I used... (In order of thumb to pinky finger)
China Glaze (Turn't Up Turquoise)
Sally Hanson's Sugar Coat (Lick-O-Rich)
China Glaze (Full Spectrum)
Hard Candy (Golden Sparkles)
Sally Hanson's Hard As Nails (Black Heart)
Sally Hanson's Xtreme Wear (Mint Sorbet)
Clear Gems
Revlon's Moon Candy (Meteor)
Wet & Wild's Wild Shine (Top Coat)

Nails... Pop-Rock!

Today I needed a quick fix for my nails. They were looking pretty rough from work this week, and I needed something to brighten them up and make them sparkle for this weekend.

This look like most of my nail looks is very simple. (I really don't have that much talent in the nail world.) I wanted to rep my black rock'n roll nails, with a mix of sparkle and color. So I painted my pinky on my left hand pink, and my ring finger on my right hand yellow, then applied different colored gems all over them.

Here is what I managed to come up with....

(For all you haters out there; Yes, there is some nail polish on my fingers. Yes, I didn't clean it up, and yes, I was in a rush. I think Ive pretty much covered it. ;D)

Once I was done applying a couple coats of each color. I then applied the gems using a clear coat to adhere them to the nail. After that I used the same clear as a top coat for all my nails. Once they are dry you are ready to rock out.

Polished used....
-Gosh: Black Pasion
-Hard Candy: Splendid
-Funky Fingers: AN13WARHOL

Hope you like these rockin sparkly nails.

Nails... Blueberry Marble

Today I 'dabbed' my nails instead of painting them. I used a really simple technique that anyone can do. I had to use the same color I used for my last blog post because they are the only colors I have with me. Today Evan (<3) named the blog. I asked him what he would call it and he came up with Blueberry Marble. It's not so much a marbling technique, as much as a paint technique.

Todays while spending a quiet day with my boyfriend I decieded to paint my nails. Today I created a very simple look, that anyone can do. It's called Blue Poka-Dotz. (The more and more I look at my nails I realize its more like Poka-blobs. :/)

P.S I changed the name to Poka-Blobs. lol.

Hard Candy Haulin...

Not too long ago I discovered a brand called Hard Candy. Since then I have been extremly interested and have been growing my own little collection. So far I have 3 of there awesome nail polishes. Mr. Right (041), Splendid (047), and Break Up (051). I grabbed there Shimmer Body Spray in Tourmaline (169), Loose Glitter in Boradway (004), Cream Eye Shadow in Queenie, and Lash Tinsel in Disco Ball.

I have managed to try everything at least once. This is what I think so far...

Quick Update: Royal Sugar

So I tried Royal Sugar, by Sugar Pill today and as expected it was awesome. The powder is so pigmented, the blue is so rich. Plus it has just the right amount of shimmer. You really don't need to use a lot just because it is so pigmented. Today I just used what I could grab off the lid.

Blue Candy Dotz

I painted my nails last night this awesome new blue I got on Christmas Eve. This blue is like a deep dark blue, almost black in some lighting. Either way, the shade of blue I was looking for. My nails have been really boring for the past few months. Ive been trying to grow them and make them stronger with no such luck. Either way I wanted to mix it up a little without too much work.

This is what I came up with... (As usual I do apologize for my sh!t camera. Gettin a new one soon.)

I wont lie, next time around I would choose to use a smaller gem or maybe all one color. (I think I would like it more if they were all clear.)

I started with a base coat of clear strengthener on my natural nail. Then applied a coat of my new favorite nail color, Mr. Right (#041) by Hard Candy. After these coats dried I applied my clear coat and applied 2-3 gems on each nail. After this dried for a moment I applied two top coats to make sure the gems were locked in. Thats it!

You can pick up any of these items locally. I got my gems at the local craft store, my clear coat from Sally's Beauty Supply, and Hard Candy you can purchase at any Wal-Mart or drug store.

Very simple, very quick. The longest part is wait for the polish to dry. You can do this with any color, polish or gems. This is a look that works on long and tiny little finger nails like mine. (*hangs head* lol.)

Christmas 2010 Look...

I know I’m behind on the time when I say I’m going to talk about my Christmas look for 2010. Yes I am aware it is a new year already but I never got the chance to do a blog in the time that I could have. Either way it’s only a week dif, big deal.

My Christmas look for this year went a little darker then I would usually go. I stuck with traditional red and green colors.

The red was a lot more vibriant before this picture was taken.
(This picture was taken sometime after I decided to write about the look.)
Sorry. :'(
