This morning I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to another discovery kit from Hip Apotheca. Excited to see what was inside, I didn't waste anytime opening it. Inside was a Fig's & Rouge Lip Balm.

I have never heard of this brand, let alone try one of there products. It came with card displaying the variety of diffrent flavors & scents of balms you can get. (Aloe & Mint, Wild Cherry, Pomegranate, Coco Vanilla, Rambling Rose, Sweet Geranium, plus more.) There are many to choose from.

Hip Apotheca: John Masters Organics Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash Review

Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash  is created with the mildest botanically-based surfactants from corn and coconut, this all-over body wash foams into a creamy, rich, sulfate-free lather that gently removes dirt and oil, leaving skin soft and smooth.

Essential oils of Grapefruit, Bourbon Vanilla & Blood Orange create a euphoric scent.

With the launch of the Hip Apotheca website I was sent a 'Discovery Kit' which is basically a sample pack. In the kit I received John Masters Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash.

I was instantly excited to see I had gotten a body wash as a sample, something different from samples I have gotten before. I also really love both scents of Vanilla and Orange, so I was excited to see how yummy it would smell.

The body wash itself looks like honey, and smells good enough to eat. It is very light and smooth, the constancy of a thinner shampoo. I was surprised to find the scent to be lighter then I had assumed it would be. I actually smelt the Blood Orange-Vanilla blend more after I had gotten out of the shower. In the shower I could only smell a hint of Vanilla. Maybe it was just me?

I always worry about trying to new body washes because my skin tends to be very sensitive. I found no irritation on my skin what so ever. It left my skin feeling very soft, hydrated, and of course smelling great.

I really liked this body wash, and would recommend it to anyone who likes the scent of Vanilla. :)

Antipodes Deliverance Kowhai Flower Hand Cream & Pai Bergamot Lip Balm

A couple days ago I was surprised with a package from Michelle at Hip Apotheca. Inside I found a Antipodes Deliverance Kowhai Flower Hand Cream and a Pai Lip Balm.

Loving everything I have received from Hip Apotheca already, and just simply loving random gifts, I was very excited to try both. I did so right away. :)

For the past few weeks I have been trying out a day and night cream by Antipodes that Hip Apotheca will be offering. These are light weight creams, that leave your skin feeling hydrated for hours, as well as leave you with silky smooth skin.

This product was created and is made in New Zealand. These lotions are 100% all natural, and smell soooo delicious.



Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream: The first thing I noticed about this lotion was the amazing scent. Who doesn't love the smell of Vanilla? The scent is so calming, and lasts quiet a while. The next thing I noticed was the texture. While it is obviously, like most creams, smooth, it tends to be a little on the thicker side. I find you need to use a little more in order to get it all over your face and neck. One thing I really like about this cream, that I can't seem to find in most lotions, is the long lasting, just lotioned feeling. My skin feels smooth, and hydrated for twice as long, as it would using my regular day cream.

Avocado Pear Nourishing Night Cream: Much like the Vanilla Pod day cream the scent is amazing. Its a nice fresh mix of Avocado and Pear. Not over powering, but strong enough to notice. While the texture of the night cream is similar to the day cream, I find the night cream to be slightly thinner, which I like. It also gives you a moisturised, velvet like feeling that lasts hours.

Hip Apotheca: Adara Coconut Virgin Oil

Not too long ago I was talking, or more so introducing a new, up incoming store, Hip Apotheca to the War Paint blog. I have try a couple items from this store that I have been dying to share with you.

The first item I have been wanting to share is Adara's Coconut Virgin Oil.  This is my favorite product I have used from the Hip Apotheca. You can use it in so many ways, and smells sooo good. I personally tried only 3 of the 6. (Heavenly Peach, Oriental Jasmine, & Organic)

Hip Apotheca!!

A few months ago I had heard of a new beauty shop opening online. Once I saw they would only be offering all natural products, I had to give them a try and post a review.

The store is called Hip Apotheca. They offer a wide range of all natural products. (To be completely honest I never really went the way of natural products, but thought it was about time to give it a try.)
