Today’s Look… Shimmering Violets

Simple but super fun, this look is young and flirty. With bright pops of color and light catching shimmer this look is great for almost any out.

Like many “day” looks you can transition this makeup into something a little suited for a night out just by simply adding some darker eye shadow just on the outside corners of your eye. You can also adjust your eyeliner or add lashes for a bolder effect.

Remember you can always tone down your look just by using a more natural lip color or maybe choosing an eyeliner that isn’t as bold.

Today's Look... You're Eyes at Sunset

Today I am keeping true to my recent promise to start creating bright vibrant looks on myself again. Without meaning to I used colors that resemble shades seen in a tropical sunset.

I had so much fun creating this look that I included a quick step by step guide to show you how to recreate this fun but sexy tropical sunset eye.

Today's Look...

Hi everyone!! Sorry I keep disappearing. This summer I got signed onto a new TV show that will be airing in October. Can't wait to blog about it. Coming soon...

With that said this fall I will be committing more time to my blog and posting more looks, reviews and other awesome goodies!! Now onto some make up...

Today was the first time in a while that I actually went full out on my own make up. I miss having the time to do my make up the way I usually want to wear it. This look is very similar to the last one I posted, with slight differences. This smokey but colorful look is super fun to wear and easy to do.

Today's Look... Spring Fling

Finally!! Spring is upon us (or should be). I am OVER the Winter.

To celebrate I wanted to do a shimmery fun spring time look. I wanted to keep the theme of spring so I went with mostly blue and green shadows on the eyes, and then grounded the look with a more natural berry tone lipstick that had a slight shimmer as well.

Today's Look... Mardi Gras

Today's look was inspired by some of a gorgeous colors you may have seen during Mardi Gras this past weekend. Definitely not as dramatic as some of the amazing costumes & masks in New Orleans, but still quite colorful for a look that could be wore any day.

Today's Look... Purple Haze

I have been subconsciously using different shades of violets in all my blogs recently. I'm thinking this will be the final Violet blog for a while! :)

This look was created while trying a couple new products for the first time.
I really liked how Sleek Makeup's shimmery Purple looked on top of the Mary Kay Cream Color. Using the cream base really helped the lighter shade pop.

Color Match Tip: Shades of Purple or Violet look great on Brown eyes.

Today's Look... My Evil Twin

Today's look is a balance between dark and light. At first glance this make up may seem to be dark, almost gothic, however looking closing you will notice the eyes are very neutral and simple. They are given a edgy look but adding a winged liner and by using shimmering metallic shades on the lid.

Today's Look...

This makeup is very straight forward and to the point. It can be adjusted for anyone to wear. You can tone it down for a day at work or play it up in the evening by adding a bold liner & lashes.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

Yes! It is true. Shade names & photos have been released for Urban Decays new Naked 3 palette.
I am SOOO excited!!

As far a packaging goes this palette seems to be very similar to the previous Naked palettes. Urban Decay has chosen to stick with the metal case colored in rose gold to represent the shades inside.

Fashion Class Photo Shoots

As mentioned in my last blog I am currently attending a make-up school in Toronto called Complections.

Though out my time at Complections I will be learning the basics of hair styling, fashion, theatre, film & television, and special effect make-up.

So far I have completed their hair styling, fashion, and theatre courses. It seems crazy that I have already almost completed half the program.

I have finally received my pictures from my first photo shoot. During each course we are given the opportunity to have photos taken of two make ups that we would like displayed in our portfolios. Once the photos are taken we choose a shot we like for editing. It is then printed and ready to be placed in our portfolios.

These are my photo's for my fashion course...

Today's Look... Naked

It feel like it has been forever since I posted a look. Long over due.

Today's looked is based off of Urban Decay's Naked Palettes (1 & 2) These palettes are fantastic for a natural look, or a dark & smokey, glamorous eye. The colors featured in these palettes are rich with color, & vary in finish.

You can find my full review for these palettes here...

Naked 2

Enough of reviews; onto the look. Here is what I came up with...
