OPI's Sky Fall Collection

Newly released Sky Fall, the new James Bond flick has invaded theatres all over the country. To celebrate 50 awesome years of James Bond OPI has released a holiday collection.

The Sky Fall collection features 12 shades, plus a 18K gold foil polish called The Man with the Golden Gun.

The Sky Fall collection was released in October. I do realize I am late in posting this. You can pick up these polishes at many salons & beauty retail stores. They go anywhere between $8-$10.

I think these shades are beautiful. Looks like a very royal & rich collection. Lots of jewel tones. :)
I am pretty excited to give The Man with the Golden Gun a try too!!

Let me know what you think of the Sky Fall collection, or of course the movie!

OPI's The Amazing Spider Man Collection 2012

Earlier this month a new OPI collection launched for the new release of the movie, The Amazing Spider Man. The movie and collection both launched/opened earlier this month. The new OPI polish came out July 3/12.

I decided to get myself a mini polish box set, instead of full size bottles. I didn't know for sure if I would truly like the shades so I only needed sample sizes to review. Their are four mini polishes in the box set. I will (obviously) only be reviewing those 4 polishes.

China Glaze's Aquadelic & OPI Navy Shatter

As mentioned in my China Glaze's Aquadelic Nails post I have now applied OPI's Navy Shatter on top.

At first I wasn't too sure if I liked the combination because I really liked the bright blue of the Aquadelic, and the Navy Shatter really darkened my nails. However now I have changed my mind, and really like how they look.

It's kind of weird but I actually like shattered nails better once it has been worn for a couple days and had faded around the edges a little.

Here are some pictures of my nails...

Shatter or Crackle is a quick & easy way to give your nails a funky look. I personally find darker shatter's to look better on brighter, lighter colors. Neon shades would work really well too.

OPI Muppet's Polish Review

A while ago, I was getting my hair done, and searching through the polish bin at Fringe when I realized they had 2 sparkling shades I was looking for from OPI's Muppet Collection. There are so many polishes in this collection that look so beautiful, I wish I could have tired them all!!

Today I am going to review Gone Gonzo! & Gettin Miss Piggy With It. (Haha, I looooove the names of these polishes. They make me giggle.)

OPI Nicki Minaj Nail Polish Review

A couple days ago I got my hair cut & dyed at the salon, Fringe my sister works at. (I will post pictures of my hair when it is completely done.)

Fringe usually has some sort of display or bin of nail polish by China Glaze or OPI. To my surprise they had a couple colors I was looking for. One of them being the bright green from the Minaj collection.

Today I will be reviewing 3 polishes from the collection. (Did It On Em, Super Bass Shatter, & Save Me)

Nails... Do You Lilac It /w Latticed Lilac Crackle

As promised I said I would update my nail look for the week when I decided to try my beautiful Latticed Lilac on top of it. I decided to only put the crackle on my ring fingers. My reasoning? I didn't want to over do it, and completely loose my pastel lilac color.

Here's what they look like...

Still super lovin this pretty purple. I love the crackles, but find that they sometimes over power the shade underneath, especially if the crack has some kind of sparkle or metallic.

Super kawaii. ;P

Nails... OPI's Do you Lilac it?

Today I got my nails done, and fell in love with a new color. It’s by O.P.I and called Do You Lilac It? Too cute!

This is only a quick post so I really didn’t take too many pictures. (I hit my nails on the way home anyways… Fail.)

After I rock these nails just the way they are, I am going to try my lilac-purple China Glaze Metals Crackle on them. I think it’s going to look really sharp with the petty light purple underneath. Can’t wait to share!!

OPI Silver Shatter Review

A few weeks ago I picked myself up some OPI Silver Shatter. I really don't own too many of the shatters or crackles. This would be my first OPI Shatter polish.

I went home and tried it out on all kinds of different polishes. To my surprise and happiness I found that the OPI Shatter works on any nail polish, not just other OPI polishes. :-D

I like the formula of the polish itself. It wasn't too runny, it had a nice consistency to it. However if you left the bottle open for too long, it did begin to dry and clog up. I found I had to close the lid and re-roll or 'shake' the bottle between hands to get all the gunk away from the top.

I found the Shatter to break and crack nicely. I think I would have liked it better if it was a solid color and not a sparkle. I find the sparkle Shatter take too much away from the actual base color in the background. I found it to be not as bold. (If you paint shatter on with no base it come out as its color. In this case Silver.)

Here are some swatches of the Silver Shatter on various polishes.

This polish is such a simple way to create such a rad look, its defiantly worth looking into and tons fun. You can find these polishes in a wide variety of colors, the combinations are endless. Have fun!

Silver Shatter Envy Nails

Yesterday I decided my polish from my last manicure had its time to shine and I needed to switch it up. I decided to try some of my new Silver Shatter which I had not yet tried on my nails yet. To my joy and excitement my color combo choice wasn't bad. I really like how they turned out.

I really enjoy using the shatter or crackle polishes because it is a easy way to create a super fun look.
