Today's Look... Snap Shots

Today's look was inspired and created by using Sleek Makeup's Snapshot's palette. My lips were colored with Sleek Makeup's Pout Paint. I will have a review for the Snapshots palette as well as the Paint Pouts follow this.

This look is a very simple, and easy to do. I basically took a family of colors, in this case being blue & green, and blended them to fade into each other. The shimmer in the shadows I used help blend the colors into each other.

Today's Look... Rainbow Brite

Last weekend Toronto had their annual Pride Parade supporting the rights of people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, & transgender. It is a weekend of celebrating everyone's individuality. In the spirit of showing pride & support I decided to go all out with a rainbow eye look.

Today's Look...

It has been far too long since I have posted a 'Today's Look'. I want to start making more time to post looks again, considering that is the whole reason why I wanted to start this blog.

Today I am rocking yellow & green. I choose these colors because it is a combo I haven't really worn in a while. I have been using a lot of Sugar Pill products recently due to my excitement about the new Heart Breaker palette that I have coming in the mail.

Today's Look...Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone!

I hope everyone had a awesome Halloween this year, with tons of candy!

I was sadly disappointed when I found a lack of people and effort put into Halloween. I think it's crazy sad that a yearly tradition is being ruined because of many different reasons, some of which I really prefer not to dive into. It's just disappointing having only a handful of kids come to your door, when you remember going out and people would run out of candy before the night was through. Line ups at doors!! (lol)

Regardless of what everyone else did, I dressed up. Which included my makeup, of course. This year I dressed up as a zombie or dead girl? Bridesmaid? :/

This year I decided to go with a pre-planed look. Not that I don't plan my Halloween look out every year, but this year I had gone with something someone else created. (I tweaked my version for what I was looking for.) It was a face map from MAC that Jangsara had re-created and posted on her blog. (Thank you!) I loved it so much, and Jangsara did such a amazing job at showing how it was created that I had to try it.

Here is a link to her blog to check out her (much better) amazing version... here.

Todays Look... Dirtyy Blue

I am in mad love with this look. (Ha, props to me!) I just really love this shade of blue. I knew I wanted to use this color for sure, and maintained the crisp-ness with white on the lid.

This look is hella easy to create, however is propably not for everyone. It is very bright and bold. However you can always switch colors in and out of a look, and control how dramatic or bold you would like it to be.

Today's Look... Helena Beat

Today my makeup was a struggle. This was the second attempt at it for the day. I originally was using green, blue and purple, but in the end decided to narrow the lid color to blue and purple, and bring the green down to my lower lid.

The colors I used where inspired from some other amazing looks I have seen recently. I named it Helena Beat because today I have been obsessed with that song by Foster the People. (lol) <3

Here's what I managed to come up with...

Today's Look... Yellow-Orange Cat Eyes

Last Friday I did a look called Yellow Cat Eyes, which you can check out here. I had said that I did a different rendition of the same look and would post it later on the same day. Well, unfortunately I didn't post it on Friday, however I will do so now. I have cleverly (yeah right) called it Yellow-Orange Cat Eyes. (lol)

Here is what it looks like...

Today's Look... Yellow Cat Eyes

Today's look was inspired from two things. One being that fact it's already Fall, and my favorite holiday, which isn't really a holiday Halloween is fast approaching, fitting right in theme with the Yellow Cat Eye. (Yellow being the shade of shadow and cat being the crazy liner.) The second reason being, and truly the original reason, is this craptacular weather we have today. It is so grey, dark and gloomy. Sometime I do like these rainy days, but today I am not feeling it. I wanted to do a really bright, and out there look to contrast the day.

This look had to do with a lot of experimentation. I just wanted something boardering edgy and fun.

Note: I don't think I would actually wear the lip stick out, its a little bit too pale for my liking. Once I went to work I replaced the lipstick in the photos with a nice pink.

Here's what I came up with...

Today's Look... Black Tie Party

Today I wanted to do something fancy, but nothing too hard or time consuming. I wanted to do a sexy look that could and would probably be worn out at night to a event. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. I love the shade of silvery grey I used.

Here's what is looks like...

Today's Look... In Too Deep

The look I did today was basically one idea that didn't exactly work out. I was aiming for a smokey blue eye. I wanted to use different shades of blue, maybe a bit of black. However this slow transformed into something else. The plan was not to have as much color, and not as dramatic. Some how it changed into a green-blue-yellow look, that got out of control.

Oh the love of experimenting and having fun! Here's what it looks like...

Today's Look... Green Smoke (Wicked Witch of the West)

Today I wanted to try some kinda of green smokey eye, mixed with a bright green eyeliner. Very similar to looks Ive done before. Pretty basic. Just a look I did for fun after helping my mom move. :)

Here's what it looks like...

Today's Look... Gold Slick

Continuing in the theme of gold today, I wanted to try something I have never done before. Ive seen people like Kat Von D, and other bloggers online try somewhat the same look. Basically what I did was have my right eye look different from my left eye, but still kinda match. Ill show you what I mean...

I decided to go with black and gold, being two classic color that look great on most eyes. Also using black or a darker shade allowed me more room to create a smokey effect. I really like the way it turned out. :)

Today's Look... Sea Side Mist

Today I wanted to try out the beautiful blues that come in the Sleek Makeup Acid iDivine Palette... (yes, my new thing.) These colors are beautifully pigmented, and look dazzling on your eyes.

The only down fall would be the lighter blue shade. It does apply, and looks great once on the eye, however your going to need to kinda layer or pack it on. :/

Here's what it looks like...

Today's Look... Bubble Gum Yum

This look is defiantly the biggest super-bubble-pop look Ive ever done. It almost reminds me of a Barbie Doll. I didn't intentionally do this. I was just trying to do something nice, but simple before work. I wanted to use one of my Sugarpill Sample again, and choose the lipstick, simply cuz it was something different and went along with my eyes.

Here is what I came up with....

Today's Look... A View to a Kill

Today's look is a combination of wanting to try the blues in my Sleek Makeup Acid iDivine Palette and a influence of Duran Duran. Duran is coming back to Toronto on Oct 27/11, and I am VERY VERY excited. (It shall be the 3rd time I have seen them... and I wasn't born til 89. Think about that one. ;)

Either way this look is darker, from what I usually do. I used different shades of blue and silver on the eyes, with dark purple lips. I was listening to A View to a Kill while taking the pictures for this blog. (LOL) (Sorry for poor quality, my camera battery was dead.) Check it out...

Today's Look... Acid Melt

Yesterday I posted a review for Sleek Makeup's Acid iDivine Palette, as promised in that blog I have come up with a look I like to call Acid Melt. I must say this is one of my top favorite looks I have featured in this blog. It reminds me of my rainbow look... a lot, however I did try to make it slightly different by trying to get the color to almost burst out from the center of my lid.

Here is what I have managed to come up with...

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Review

Your full-coverage insurance policy against eye shadow fading, creasing, and melting. Our silicone-based eyeshadow primer transforms any eye shadow into a perfectly blendable, color-drenched, intensified version of itself, then locks it down perfectly until you take it off. Our skin soothing formula evens out the skin tone on your lids and smoothes out lines while it secures a barrier between the oils of your skin and your makeup, so no shadow catastrophes will ever happen again.

I have been wanted to try Too Faced Shadow Insurance for the longest time. I was waiting for the base I was using to run out. I finally got my chance and picked it up from Sephora about a week ago.

So far the Too Faced Shadow Insurance is working wonders. The product itself is a neutral cream color. Blends colorless onto the eye, so there is no need to worry about skin tone. It blends in very smooth and silky. I am also happy to report it does not leave a gresey feeling like some eyeshadow bases.

Once apply shadows, and loose colors apply seemlessly. Too Faced Shadow Insurance helps to prevent creasing, and moving of the shadow. While using this product I have found my eyeshadow to last all day, as well as keeping most, if not all of it's color.

THIS STUFF IS LIKE GLUE!! <3

You can pick it up on the Too Faced website, or at Sephora. They go for $18.00 a tube. (Majority of the time Too Faced had some kind of package deal including the Shadow Insurance.)

I really like the Too Faced Shadow Insurance and would recomend it to anyone who does thier makeup every morning. This will help to give a clean soild eye all day long!

Next to try... Glitter Glue & Lip Insurance

Peace & Luv
